Due to events in his personal life, Mark identified the elderly as an underserved population, inspiring him to choose a career serving them. From there, he discovered elder law and immediately decided to attend law school.
As a practicing attorney, Mark soon found elder law to be a bit of misnomer, as adults of all ages can benefit from proactive planning, not just the elderly. After working for another Centre County law firm for five years, he now brings his “adult law” practice to McQuaide Blasko, Inc. In this role, Mark assists clients with many of the issues everyone faces as they navigate life’s transitions, including asset-protection planning, applying for Medical Assistance (Medicaid) long-term care benefits, guardianships, long-term care facility admissions and resident advocacy, and counseling for fiduciaries. He prepares wills, trusts, financial powers of attorney, and healthcare powers of attorney for clients of all ages. Mark also guides personal representatives through probate and estate administration and litigates in Orphans’ Court to ensure his clients’ wishes are respected and rights are protected.
Mark serves as a municipal solicitor and represents clients in various land-use matters. As a licensed Pennsylvania title agent, he handles your residential and commercial real estate transactions, as well.
A Pennsylvania native and proud Centre County transplant, Mark is eager to continue helping clients throughout Central Pennsylvania. Outside the office, Mark immerses himself in nature in any way possible, especially on backpacking trips, and enjoys cooking and listening to live music.
