It was an honor for McQuaide Blasko to not only sponsor but also attend the 2022 Blair County Sports Hall of Fame Induction Dinner with legendary Boston College quarterback, Doug Flutie. He didn’t hesitate to remind the attendees that in 1982 he threw for 520 yards against their favorite, Penn State (albeit in a losing effort as Penn State still won the game). Flutie went on to play in the NFL for 12 seasons, and in his final year he famously drop kicked the football for a successful extra point (the first time that had been done since 1941). The McQuaide Blasko attendees and their spouses had the opportunity to meet Flutie and get a picture before the dinner.
