Since joining McQuaide Blasko in 2002, Cristin Long has developed a transactional practice focusing on business transactions and real estate matters. She represents clients in commercial and residential real estate transactions, including acquisitions, financing, leasing, and landlord/tenant relations. A licensed title agent, she handles hundreds of residential real estate settlements and commercial loan closings each year. Her work for Central Pennsylvania clients includes representing regional banking institutions as well as borrowing businesses in commercial lending transactions. She has also provided regular representation to a university housing office on leasing and student housing matters, including representation before the district magistrate in eviction proceedings.
Ms. Long represents regional businesses in various transactional and business law matters, such as business formation, restructuring, acquisitions and buyouts, financing, contract negotiation and governance. For regional municipal clients, her work includes such matters as condemnation actions, financing/lending transactions, bond transactions, real estate and equipment purchases, employment/personnel matters, records retention, governance, and compliance matters. In partnership with her litigation colleagues, Ms. Long has also represented municipal clients in environmental matters involving the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.
Individual clients rely on Ms. Long's estate planning and estate administration experience. She advises these clients on wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and business succession planning.
