Suzette Sims elected Women's Resource Center board secretary

McQuaide Blasko attorney Suzette Sims was elected secretary of the Centre County Women's Resource Center board of directors for fiscal year 2012-2013. She has served on the board since 2010.

Both Ms. Sims and McQuaide Blasko shareholder Katherine Allen attended the Women's Resource Center's second annual Celebration Luncheon on May 30; the luncheon also serves as the organization's annual meeting. Ms. Allen is legal counsel to the organization and served on its board from 2000 to 2006.

Based in State College, the Centre County Women's Resource Center offers free and confidential services for people who have experienced domestic or sexual violence. The organization also provides a 24-hour crisis hotline service plus education programs to schools and community groups to help prevent sexual violence and domestic abuse.

An attorney with McQuaide Blasko's State College office, Ms. Sims concentrates her practice on civil litigation, employment law, and university law.
